Just got back this evening from Cornwall, having taken the wedding images for Clare & James at the amazing Polhawn Fort.  Travelled down with Tim on Monday and enjoyed a great few days touring around some areas of Cornwall that I haven’t visited for years – glad to see HMS Raleigh looked exactly the same as it did back in 1987 …. We had stunning weather all week and then yesterday …. it rained! Typical but never mind – because we finished the evening with the best sunset I have ever seen and certainly ever had the opportunity to take wedding photos against – it was stunning. The whole day was  just perfect – Clare has certainly spent many hours on getting everything just right from the colour schemes, the candles with shells, the name places and favours and the most stunning cake I have seen without a doubt.

It was a stunning day yesterday for Zoe & James’ wedding at St. Mary’s Parish Church in the Causeway in Horsham.  The ceremony was followed by a reception at the beautiful South Lodge Hotel and the guests enjoyed Pimms on the lawns.  It was dry under foot so we were able to take a walk down to the lake around the magnolia glades.  Mark was on hand as Toastmaster to assist in the proceedings and the evening finished with an 11 piece band playing swing, jazz and pop – they were excellent and the two singers were really terrific.  Zoe & James are now off for an extended honeymoon – a real trip of a lifetime – have a fantastic time both of you.  I’m off to Cornwall tomorrow morning for a few days break and to include a wedding at Polhawn Fort on Thursday with Clare & James – can’t wait.  Here are a few images from yesterday.

Spent a stunning day yesterday with Sophie and James and their family and friends. It was an absolutely glorious day in the West Sussex countryside.  Sophie looked amazing in an Ian Stuart wedding gown (www.ianstuart-bride.com) with a soft pink and chocolate brown theme for the bridesmaids, table plan, chair ribbons and place names.  The flowers were provided by my friends from Pollen – http://www.pollenflowers.co.uk – I’m more used to seeing the chaps at Buxted Park, so it was a nice surprise to see them at Upwaltham Barns  (www.upwalthambarns-weddings.co.uk.).  Sophie and James had also chosen an amazing wedding cake by Purita Hyam – http://www.chocolateweddingcakes.co.uk.  I joined the girls for their getting ready in Jasmine Cottage at the Barns.  The feel of the day immediately started to take on a vintage theme with the colour schemes, bridesmaids dresses and venue. I have therefore spent some time creating some vintage images for this upload – I hope you like them and please don’t hesitate to ask, if you are considering a similar style for your day.

Drove over to Kent today to meet with Laura & Craig for their final meeting before their wedding this summer at Preston Court.  I was delighted to be asked by Laura to take their wedding photos some time ago, as I had had the pleasure to take her sister Anna & Mark’s wedding photographs almost two years ago – looking forward to seeing all the family again. We met today at a midpoint hotel and enjoyed a coffee and discussion and final look at the fabulous Graphistudio wedding storybooks that Laura and Craig have chosen.  We then went outside for a short while to take some images amongst the blossom.  This really is a great opportunity for me for me to get to know my couples a little better before the big day and also allows the opportunity of taking an image which I can then get mounted and ready for use as a signature print on the day.  Here are just a few images from this morning.

As promised here are some images from last Sunday’s stunning wedding at Buxted Park.  I have added into the upload some guest shots as well – I couldn’t resist – there was just so much natural, fun and laughter during the day.  Adele had a stunning dress on by Suzanne Neville and Marc Desseaux was on hand on behalf of Buxted Park, to ensure the day ran smoothly as always.  The weather was fantastic – a little windy at times as you will see in the photos – but it is great for dresses and confetti!  This time of year is wonderful to shoot in – the grounds were smothered in daffodils – onwards now to bluebells and magnolias!

Just a short hop along the A27 for me last Easter weekend to Brighton.  I spend quite a lot of time in Brighton and love the city – it is so full of live and colour.  I was thrilled to take Greta & Marcus’ photos for them at the Royal Pavillion – it is a simply stunning location and set right in the heart of the city – which as you can imagine was extremely busy last weekend.  Here are a few of their images.

Been a really busy week again and I’m thrilled to say that the new website is nearly there – you can see the new brand at the top of this blog.  There will be a whole new blog coming soon!

Anyway – catching up now on some images from my last two weddings.  Firstly Tigi and Keith at Pennyhill Park – this is really is a stunning venue in Surrey and we managed to get some fabulous shots outside with the light fading.  Here are a few images from their day.

Just before I upload some recent wedding images I thought I must just add this sample slideshow – with music – from Holly & Jon’s wedding in 2009 at Buxted Park Hotel.  I have been searching long and hard for a slideshow presentation which is right up to date and totally contemporary.  I have finally found the one I like – from the US.  I shall be offering this extra option of 100 images on a slideshow which can be downloaded and viewed on computers, iphones as well as high definition TV, free with any album package.  I am in the process of creating two more slideshows which I will hopefully add onto the blog later today!
